Welcome to this, my very first posting on my new wine blog: Tiedemann On Wines. I am very excited about the opportunity to launch this new wine blog. I haven’t figured out my posting schedule yet. But in the beginning, I am shooting for two to three postings per month and perhaps more depending on what comes to mind during the creation of these blogs.
I would assume and hope that the readers of Tiedemann On Wines have some influence on the frequency by sending me topics that they would like to know more about and/or items that would be generally good for discussion amongst all folks passionate about wine. So please email me your questions or topics, or respond below to this blog and I will do my best to respond accordingly.
I would appreciate your support, so join the fun and subscribe now (top right corner)! Thank you!

Congratulations on your new blog! This is going to be great. I always learn so much from you and Elizabeth. I enjoyed lunch with a friend, on Wednesday, at Uptown Kitchen in Granger. I spoke with the owner and congratulated him on having your wines. He was “off the top” complimentary to you and Elizabeth and to your extraordinary wines. Proud to say I know you all, personally, and so happy for your continued success!
Julene: Thank you for your kind remarks and thank you thank you for subscribing to Tiedemann On Wines.

Michele: Thanks for all your support and the introductions to all the local Foodies folks. They are great.

Will enjoy reading your blog. I have enjoyed your wine at Fat Cams. Bought some to take back to Maryland with us.
Rosemary: Thank you for your note and I am glad you enjoy our wine. Don’t forget to subscribe to our blog.
Cheers
This is so exciting Carl! What a great way to reach people who enjoy and know wine and to learn a little bit more if you don’t. Congrats on your new endeavor in the blogging world.
Tish, Thanks so much, I appreciate your support. Don’t forget to subscribe – Cheers
Very excited about your blog Carl! This is going to be great and I can’t wait to see all that’s coming! You know I enjoy your wine very much!
Kathy: Thank you for the continued support and advice. Cheers
Hi Carl; what a great idea. Happens that I was in your neck of the woods for the wedding of a cousin of mine’s daughter October, 2011. They live in Valparaiso. We spent an extra couple of days in the area. They got us to ‘northern’ Indiana wine country which I learned got its start with German Prisoners of War in WWII. Notable was a place known as Round Barn Brewery and Wines. There were a few others in that area but I don’t remember them. Of course, I was surprised to learn that it was even possible to grow grapes and produce wine considering your latitude and weather conditions. I have to admit, the tastings we had leaned to the sweet side which is, for me, outside my palate preference most of the time. Anyway, best wishes on your endeavor and I’m glad life is such that you can devote some time to a blog of this nature. Be well!
Hello Vic.. Sorry I missed you when you were here in the Midwest. The blog is an out growth of our wine distribution company Tiedemann Wines which by the way makes wine in Napa Valley as well. Hope you subscribe to the blog and future posts meet with your expectations. All the best. Cheers
Congratulations Carl. I just left Party Chalet with yet another 3 bottles of Tiedemann Wine. Debby and I both love it and need to find a way to get it in FL. Hope to see you on February 12, 2013.
Steve.. I appreciate you and Debby supporting our wines.. I am working on FL now..Cheers
Wow! Carl, this is great. Thanks for putting me on the list. I look forward to future blogs.
Steve
Carl, are your wines available in SW Michigan? Love to buy some for my cellar for our home there.
Steve.. I have a Distributor for SW Michigan. Let me know where you buy your wine and I’ll send the Distributor to call on the wine shop. Thanks for asking and your support. Cheers
Congrats Carl & Elizabeth! I look forward to reading your blog and hopefully furthering my education on great wine. I was at The Mark Dine & Tap with my family this week and asked the server to surprise me with glass of something great. She brought me a glass that was so great, I had to have a second, even though I still had work to do. Turns out it was the Grappler Zin! I should’ve known. Thanks for bringing such delicious wines to our neighborhood.
Johnathan.. Thanks for your support and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog.. Cheers – Carl
Carl, great fun are there any outlets in the Seattle area to buy your great wines?
Arvin.. Sorry to say we don’t have a wholesale distributor in your area yet. If you know of one that might be interested let me know.
Congratulations big brother! I am proud of you. Love the blog and all the wine info.
Thanks. It is a fun project. Glad you enjoy it. Hope to see you soon.
I enjoyed my first Tiedemann’s Red at McCarthy’s in Elkhart last month. The pairing of that awesome red with a filet encrusted with blue cheese rocked. The food and wine were off the charts! I have since been back to McCarthy’s multiple times! If you have never been, it’s a must! A smaller version of cheers with a distinct architectural upgrade.
Another fun restaurant, with gourmet food is Timothy’s in Union Pier, Michigan where Carl Tiedemann is doing a wine tasting with a five-course meal…Chef Timothy is an artist with his fusion of flavors and teamed with Tiedemann’s…I predict a perfect 10 for this event. (Friday, April 5th at 6:00 pm).
If unable to make the wine taste bring a ton of friends for Trivia Tuesday at McCarth’ys for a little Tiedemann’s Red and bodacious steak!
Hello Ron. Thank you for your support. We really appreciate it and further I am pleased that you enjoy the wines we make. Hope to see you at Timothy’s for our wine dinner.
Cheers
